Welcome!

This is the course website for Statistical Theory (MATH/STAT 355) at Macalester College for the Spring 2026 semester.

The site was built by Kelsey Grinde. It draws heavily upon materials prepared by Macalester colleagues Taylor Okonek, Brianna Heggeseth, and Vittorio Addona.

This course does not have a designated textbook, but many of our course materials are inspired by texts such as Casella and Berger (2002), Larsen and Marx (2018), DeGroot and Schervish (2012), and course notes from the University of Washington’s STAT 512–513 course sequence (Perlman, 2014).

This page will be under active construction throughout the Spring 2026 semester. If you encounter any typos or other issues, please email kgrinde@macalester.edu.
